Expert Timber Floor Repairs

in Auckland

Seamless structural repairs for your wooden floors. We specialise in water damage restoration and loose floorboard

re-fixing, and professional gap filling.

Timber floors are incredibly durable, but decades of heavy foot traffic, plumbing leaks, and environmental movement take their toll. Whether you have bouncy, squeaking floorboards, massive drafty gaps, or severe water and borer damage, painting over the problem won't fix the structure.

As Auckland’s trusted flooring contractors, Endless Flooring provides comprehensive structural timber repairs. We don’t just do cosmetic patches; we secure the sub-floor, eliminate movement, and expertly 'tooth-in' reclaimed native timber to replace rotted boards. Our goal is to make the repair completely invisible once the floor is sanded and finished.

Our Core Timber Repair Services

  • Floor Water Damage Repair: We expertly cut out warped, cupped, or rotted sections caused by leaks or moisture, treating the sub-floor and weaving in perfectly matched replacement boards.

  • Loose Floorboard Re-fixing: We eliminate annoying squeaks and movement by securely fastening bouncy boards directly to the underlying joists using specialised sub-floor screws and adhesives.

  • Timber Floor Gap Filling: We stop drafts and create a seamless aesthetic by mixing specialized resin with the natural sanding dust of your specific floor, permanently filling the gaps between your floorboards.

Your floorboards are now structurally sound, squeak-free, and seamlessly patched. The final step is to bring them back to life. Our expert sanding division will strip away the old finish and apply premium coatings for a flawless, unified look.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the new replacement boards look different from my old floor?

Not when done correctly. We don't use modern pine to patch old floors. We source reclaimed native timber of the same species and age, ensuring the grain and colour match perfectly once the entire floor is sanded and coated.

Why are my floorboards squeaking in the first place?

Squeaks are caused by friction. When the original nails loosen over time or the sub-floor joists shift, the wooden boards rub against the nails or each other when you walk on them. We fix this by structurally re-fixing the boards tight to the joists.

Will the gap filler fall out over time?

Generic putty will, but our professional method won't. We use a highly flexible, premium resin mixed with actual timber dust from your floor. This allows the filler to expand and contract naturally with the wood during seasonal temperature changes without cracking or falling out.
