Our clients wanted to get away from the red shade that matai has, after a bit of experimenting we came up with a stain colour that neutralised the red of the matai. The timber was very dry and hence we have to reduce down the stain a fair amount to stop the floor turning almost black.

Timber Type: Coloured matai in the hallway, heart matai in the kitchen/lounge
Stain Colour: 20% Dark Walnut
Polyurethane Type: 2-Pack commercial waterbased polyrethane.

Polyurethane Finish: Matte
